    "Does not perform promised service."

    January 5, 2011  |   By drida

Version: File Property Edit Pro 3.35

    Pros

For the Free Download Version: The download and installation worked reasonably quickly and smoothly.

    Cons

For the Free Download Version: The software needs usability testing with a wider variety of users, and the instructions should be written by a skilled technical writer.

    Summary

For the Free Download Version: The interface requires the online instructions to use; it is not intuitive. The program appears to make the file property changes I entered (for author, company, and title). After I clicked "Apply Changes," I tested the actual file (select, right click, click on Properties, click on Summary) I found that the properties were not entered. However, the program did something to the file because now I could change these summary properties directly. This software should be considered in its beta stage, not yet worth paying for.

"It hung immediately on a search"

    November 18, 2010  |   By txbd75b

Version: File Property Edit Pro 3.35

    Pros

Nice interface, if it had worked!

    Cons

It's unclear how it would work since it hung when I told it to search my documents.

    Summary

It's only a trial ware product on CNET - glad I didn't pay for it only to find out it didn't work.

"Inept Programming of Trial Expiration Prevents Trial"

    September 20, 2010  |   By R_Sandman

Version: File Property Edit Pro 3.35

    Pros

Nice marketing, slick redirect to purchasing page to obtain your payment.

    Cons

Even ensuring you have the latest directly thru CNet, redirected from their homepage, provides you only with "Trial has expired". No, you'll not have yet tried anything-Yes, you'll be immediately taken to the Buy Me web-page.

    Summary

If something as basic as checking the current date during installation, then checking that against the current date during execution of the program, cannot be performed correctly...do you want to trust them to manipulate your file structure?

    "An appallingly non-user friendly software."

    September 4, 2010  |   By spartain

Version: File Property Edit Pro 3.35

    Pros

Not a thing I can think of

    Cons

Appallingly geeky and non-user friendly. No instructions, confusing installation for trial, a dud.

    Summary

This clearly has the look of software that has been written by some idiot geek, and has to be the most user-unfriendly program I have come across. All I wanted to do was to change the information in the Properties of my video files, but I just can't figure this out, and the useless online Help was totally useless. It wasn't in actual fact a help, but just a guide through the features.

Needless to say, I'm annoyed at having wasted my time on this useless inadequateware.
