Version: FilZip 3.04
"Free & Easy. But 7zip & ZipGenius Are Better"
Pros: Free, VERY EASY, and it works. Pretty standard ability to compress. I like the ease of drag & drop.
Cons: 7zip compresses SO MUCH BETTER. 7zip is also free, easy, and is the best I have found for zipping.

Version: FilZip 3.04
"Difficulty extracting .rar files"
Cons: My FilZip opens only about 50% of password protected .rar files. I type in the password and it only opens the folder but cannot extract the data contained therein. This is the reason I had to give it 3 stars. I wasted so many downloads because FilZip couldn't open them. That is until someone recommended WinZip. Now the files that FilZip cannot open, WinZip opens with ease. For some reason I still gravitate towards using Filzip first, even though Winzip works better. Probably because I keep hoping Filzip will be able to open the file. Then I could do away with Winzip before my trial period runs out.
If FilZip could open all of my files, I wouldn't have any other issues with the program.
