"not quite sure"
Version: FastestFox 2.1.2
Pros
havnt got any yet
Cons
horrible thing about it is that when reading multiple pages, before you get to the bottom of page it loads the next one, which is very annoying

"Can't judge yet"
Version: FastestFox 2.1.2
Pros
Not sure if I've noticed anything different (use Fox heaps!)
Cons
The idea of pre-loading pages etc. worries me as I'm on a limited Optus monthly download plan and it seems silly loading pages into memory until sure you need them.
Sure, my system is slow so if it saved delay at foot of page it may help - not sure.Summary
See pros & cons above. I don't think C-Net should give something such an extremely good writeup as this got, or else maybe run a good tutorial on it.

"A Must for Research"
Version: FastestFox 2.1.2
Pros
A great add-on to Firefox. When you search, you will get a box with alternative search engines. Click on one to open a new tab, searching with that engine. You also get to scroll down to see subsequent pages--no clicking a new page number.
Cons
A little difficult to get used to. Also, there are some rare sites where it doesn't work.
Summary
There is nothing to dislike! I like being able to search in a different engine, or the same engine if you want to search in a different category, like images. What makes this so useful is it opens the new search in a new tab.
Being able to scroll through multiple pages without opening each page is a real time saver. Sometimes the links don't work, but you know what page the desired link is on so you can click on the page number to open it, and it works fine.
A real plus is you get the same search engine display box if you highlight a word--or words--on a web page. You can search the subject in a new tab.
This is a very stable add-on with no glitches I've seen, but I haven't attempted to download flash videos or images, as the program is supposed to do. -

I really can't comment. I don't even know what it does yet. If is does anything it is in the background, I'm not even aware of it.

"Does not work on eBay."
Version: FastestFox 2.1.2
Pros
Didn't get to use it enough to say
Cons
Does not work on eBay.
Summary
I don't have time enough to play with this... seemed like a good idea, but business comes first.

"Low Quality, waist of download"
Version: FastestFox 2.1.2
Pros
I finally got to uninstall despite lousy customer service
Cons
Nothing, I don't use Facebook, MySpace or videos since I have low income internet and so this didn't help me. I have Yahoo 120 and all I got was lots of programs which were downloaded to the program and didn't help and didn't speed up anything.
Summary
It was not helping me in the least, but was a bother, I could explain about stuff I have no clue about, now that I am giving lots of space, but I am no expert on this foolish program. It has lots of features for those with lots of programs like MySpace, Facebook and the like.

"OK. Better searching. Updates may be too frequent"
Version: FastestFox 2.1.2
Pros
I liked the utility of the search options.
Cons
Seems to slow down with very frequent updating.
-
"Quick access to some great features"
Version: FastestFox 2.1.2
Pros
Quick access to multiple search engines and downloading embedded links, photos, etc.
Cons
None that I have come across. Good coding, stable, and if there is a performance impact I don't see or notice it. Maybe on slower or older machines? I don't know what these people are talking about.
Summary
i don't know what people are talking about with system crashes. I am running SmarterFox 2.12 on Firefox 3.5.2 on Windows 7 64-bit Pro final release (not the RC). I have NEVER had one freeze up or lock and I am an extremely heavy Firefox user.

"more bloated add on ware from firefox"
Version: FastestFox 2.1.2
Pros
handy little features like having google at your fingertips
Cons
firefox freezes. How about just going back to the original firefox which was quick and efficient. i dont need all the add ons and all the wasted time while firefox updates updates updates its latest update of an update it did five minutes ago.
Summary
save time and aggravation. forgedaboutit!
