I shoot a ton of pictures and I keep just about every single shot even the blurry ones, just in case. The ability to resize, rotate, border, watermark, rename, and adjust the DPI on a batch of photos with just a few clicks saves me SO much post time. If this app had a fee, I'd pay it! You can also make other adjustments (color depth, brightness, saturation, contrast, etc) as well, but I rarely do that in batch mode and usually use 'shop. This is a great app and I highly recommend it.

I post pictures online and need to do two things: resize and put in watermarks. FastStone enables me to do this in batches, saving a ton of time. It works more quickly and reliably than Windows Live Photo Gallery for resizing. It's easy to figure out how to use it, though it isn't exactly intuitive, and once your figure it out it's just a few clicks to do everything you want. It's perfect for a non-professional photographer like me.

Painless download with CNET, hassle-free set up and a Desktop icon made this program a real treat for a first time user. Clever, easy way of selecting the photos from various folders, including clear identification.
Cons
Needs more explanation about choosing a reduction size. As a novice, I was left floundering and had to "have a go" and see what the first re-sizing produced. It was still much to large to send as a jpg e-mail, so sent it as a pdf file to save time. Still not sure if the re-sizing process has altered my original files, as this is not clear once you are choosing for resizing.

Very fast, clear and intuitive interface, small and lightweight, wide range of functions, works with several different formats.

This tiny program contains many more functions than its size suggests. You can resize batches of photos by ratio, number of pixels or based on the length of one side, add custom watermarks (images) or text, rename them according to your own rules, rotate, crop, change the canvas size or colour depth, apply a range of adjustments, change the resolution and add frames. Images can be output as JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, TIFF or JPEG2000 but can be input in additional formats including .eps .wmf and .psd
Preferences can be saved to file, then reloaded to suit the particular occasion.
The user interface is simple and intuitive; it takes very little time to work out how to use this program.
I'd say this is a must-have program for digital photographers or for anyone dealing with a large number of images. It's well put-together, fast, lightweight and functional. I appreciate that Photoshop can do everything that Photo Resizer does, but not at the same price and not as intuitively. -

Layout is a little hard to get use to and can be a little frustrating.
