Version: FastStone Image Viewer 2.9
"i wouldn't have any other image viewer than this!"
Pros: this app packs a big punch of features, include some of the essential special effects, crop/resizing, and basic drawing board for some simple doodles. but more amazing, is it's superb organizing/gallery feature, compelete with slideshow, full screen viewing, drag-and-drop support, image tagging, crystal-clear mangifer, mutliple-page file builder, contact-sheet builder, image converting/batch, and much more. it's easy to use and comes with several skin of its own, not to mention it's portable and support dual-moniter. this is the absolute premium solution for homeusers. i strongly recommend to give it a try.

"Way better than Windows Picture & Fax Viewer."
Pros: Although I have a semi professional, highly rated photo editing program, I seldom use it anymore, partly because my computer is a 7 year old XP converted from ME, runs at 1.8 with 256mb ram & it constantly freezes my computer, but mostly, FastStone is quicker & easier to use & does basically everything I want. This program is probably my favorite out of a few others I've tried & works just fine for 99.99% of all my photos & rarely slows my computer.
Really like the full screen mode when double clicking on a picture. From there, you can do a lot of editing as well as get a full description of your photo, exposer, shutter speed, everything, easily accessible. Double click again to return to main screen. Modifying a photo for emailing is a little cumbersome but very handy. Nice slide show feature as well allowing you to show the file name, camera, model, date & time the picture was taken with a font, color & size of your choice. Also has 156 transitional effects, kewl man. Has a screen shot tool, also easier than Windows. Currently, FastStone is set to open all my pictures & does it well.
Cons: No actual screen saver, only a slide show. Slide show shows only pictures in a specific folder, not all folders.

Pros: freeware.it is so small in size when compared to photoshop or acd see and yet it gives an average user some great tools to edit and manage the digital photo collection.doesn't even feel you are running the program due to its small system requirements.

"Good...takes a little thinking to use, but nice."
Pros: Lets me do a wide variety of things with my images including changing them to another format which is easier for me to work with and easily changes their sizes (proportionately, too). Good interface. Doesn't take up a whole lot of room.

Pros: I've been using FastStone for almost 2 years now. Over the years I've used many other image viewers including Irfanview, ACDSee, ThumbsPlus, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, and more.... FastStone blows all of them away. It has a great interface, great tools, it's fast, and the full screen mode is incredibly helpful. I have it associated with all of my image files, and I have it setup to open Photoshop when I need to do more advanced editing. With FastStone's feature set I find that I can do 90% of my image editing without having to even open Photoshop. I've also been impressed how the author is always adding new (and often very handy) features. Due to this it's definitely a program where you want to check for new versions often. I've installed FastStone on several of my friends and families computers, and all of them love it. In my opinion, no PC is complete without FastStone installed. It's absolutely indispensable.
