Version: FastStone Image Viewer 2.3
"If you like ASee DSee then you will love this."
Pros: This program provides beginners and intermediates with a very easy to use, photo viewer, manager, and editor. Like many, I received a digital camera at Christmas and have little experience altering photos, making slide shows etc. When editing a picture, I am most impressed with the idea of attaching simple instructions along the side of the photo you are changing.
Cons: More skins to customize the appearance.

"Awesome, absolutely Awesome !"
Pros: One of the best "Freebies" ever produced. I have been using XnView for a few years but this program blows it away. Great features and user friendly. I highly recommend this software to all digital photographers for all of your basic viewing and minor adjustment and tweaking needs. Just try it and you will see for yourself the usefulness of this product.
Cons: None so far to speak of.

Pros: I really Love this Fast Stone. There have not been too many pieces of software that I have come across where I can just click, move, and slide, right off the bat and know what I'm doing and what I want to do. The Fast Stone Rocks. I even made the switch from the awesome infranview, to this There's a little bit of editing that I can do which to me it is so rewarding after spending days on Photoshop I thought I never would be able to adjust a picture. Mind you I am not comparing this to Photoshop just saying that I sucked at it. The slide show is great, and it just looks good ass you zoom in on the subject photo, it actually gets better when it's larger.
Cons: Not a thing It's Friggen Free

"WOW! .....There is so much in this small small program!"
Pros: This is one of the best freeware programs you can find. In only 2.8 MB this small, fast, and stable image browser/editor/converter is just chocked full of great features.
1. It loads and saves quite a number of popular image formats.
2. EXIF metadata support
3. Digital camera RAW format support
4. Performs functions of image viewing, management, comparison, cropping, resizing, coversion, and color adjustment to name just a few
5. Histograms
6. Scanner support
7. Batch image resizing and conversion
8. Slide show with 150+ transitional effects
9. It's not terribly difficult to learn how to use
The more I use this program the more I like it. And why not, Faststone software is continually updating the program with new or refined features all the time. Kudos to the developement team there for doing such a stellar job. Faststone image viewer is a real gem!
Cons: 1. My only complaint is that I would like to see better help files in future versions.
