"Fastone 4-in-1 Browser; all the right stuff..."
Version: FastStone 4in1 Browser 1.3
Pros
Many argue that the Fastone 4-in-1 Browser is a browser basing their reviews on that topic pinning the tool's success on web-surfing prowess. This is wrong entirely as the browser is merely the interface that Fastone had decided to package the tool with for end-user familiarity and ease of use. It should also be noted that the inclusion minimal browser functionality was for administration and client convenience not casual web-surfng.
Fastone 4-In-1 Browser(F4N1) is an FTP client that enables a user to set up a small locally hosted domain share from their native machine for quick file sharing and secure access to shared resources.
The methods to create, manage, and access services provided by F4N1 are leveraged with a web-browser styled front-end graphical user interface (GUI).
Accounts can be setup as either HTTP or FTP file shares with on-access password management making the tool extremely intuitive and robust for its purposes.
File sharing accounts are all created and managed from within the browser interface of F4N1 without the need for native system rebooting or extraneous management schemes. You, the user, control the management aspects of each account dynamically creating each account from the ground up in as little as three procedural steps.
Access to settings and controls managed from within F4N1's menus and toolbars are designed to be familiar to an average end-user with activation/de-activation type check-boxes and the like.
The overall handling and design of F4N1 is quite centric to its purposes as a specialized, efficient, and dynamic local file sharing management utility. It does take a little getting used to but there is ample instruction in the F4N1 "Help" menu selection regarding getting an HTTP/FTP account setup and operational.
The overall learning curve time investment will cost you in the neighborhood of 45 minutes to 1 hour generally. F4N1 account design, operation, management, and maintenance is a snap after the initial training.
Cons
The problems that I have with F4N1 are: it does not appear to be currently maintained by Fastone and there is no portable version of F4N1 that can be executed from a universal serial bus (USB) stick/thumb-drive.
A portable USB friendly version of F4N1 would be incredible for the "on the move" developer and business person that has to create dynamic on the fly resources for clients and or self.

"Tried it. Don't need it. Deleted it."
Version: FastStone 4in1 Browser 1.3
Pros
Faststone's software is great
Cons
but I don't need to learn to use a new browser. I tried it and then removed it.
Sorry guys. Your other stuff is great.

"Does EXACTLY what I wanted it to do."
Version: FastStone 4in1 Browser 1.3
Pros
The ONLY thing I was looking for was an easy way to host HTTP on a LAN. This does it perfectly. I can't imagine it being any easier to configure I had it working with in 30 seconds of hitting the install button. I haven't played with the other functions as they aren't what I was after.
Cons
It has an option to set a password on the HTTP server, anytime I set a password the remote computers could not connect even when I was 100% sure I had the right password, not something I wanted/needed but I was playing with all the settings (there are few settings, this thing just works and works well)
The browser looks more like a Skin for IE than its own browser, and often refers to IE in the settings.

"Excellent idea...but not done very well."
Version: FastStone 4in1 Browser 1.3
Pros
Its free.
It gives you an FTP client, a web browser, an image viewer AND a web server all in one.
Cons
Its FIRST a browser, everything else is second. Having said that, the browser part of this program was done very poorly.
No indication of web server staying alive after closing the program.
