Free version adds a watermark to the image. This watermark, however, is just a small text, which doesn't screw the image too much.
Some avi formats have the image color pallete replaced, resulting in color-swapped gif.Summary
It could be a good product, has potential, but fails at basic tasks.

Used up 60GB space to make one GIF (640x272 size) using dither + optimal option. The worst program ever used. It stalled my PC for more than an hour to do nothing. The developer need to go back to the black board to rethink and redo.
