"Not so Stealthy, and since I paid, I got no support."

    March 15, 2008  |   By wcressman2k

The interface is good, and the logging ouput tells you which window the strokes went into It captures special characers like enter and backspace too, and lets you remove them with a button click. All that is nice

Its not very stealthy. In particular, the install leaves a record in your "add/remove programs" list which clearly states "Famiy Keylogger Pro" as the name of the application. The EXE file is a little more discreet (fkp.exe) but even that is very easy to look up on the web. You can fix those two items yourself.... but there is a problem that I can't solve.

it CRASHES a lot. And when it does, you get a message right on top of your screen "Faamily Keylogger Pro Crashed" and you can send the report to microsoft. Yippie - now I've announced it. That problem is one I don't know how to fix myself.

The other reviews that talk about support are a mystery to me. I've sent a few emails and gotten no response at all.

from the start i replied to your first email instantly, despite have a constant barrage of emails i answered your problems with the best help i could. if you were not happy with the support i can understand but to state there was no response is a down and out lie.

I got an email today that they have released an upgrade, and sure enough, several of my stealth issues have been addressed. The program still crashes if you have it set up to send email when a log file finishes, and you just happen to be typing rapidly when the changeover occurs... and that crash still displays a dialog that says "Family Keylogger Pro"... but they have made distinct improvement in under a week. I expect the problems to be solved some time next week. And in the mean time, I turned off that feature and used the scheduler instead. Much slicker.
