Easy to install and configure. Get much more info than a keylogger. A full suite of monitoring tool. You get what you paid for. Excellent support.

File accessed report needs improvement.

I have the family pack license and installed it on my Win7 64bit, Vista 32 bit, and WinXP. All work very well. Great product.

The short of it is this product does it's job..... somewhat. All of the shortcomings were something I could deal with as it essentially worked.... until I actually had a support request. I have very seldom heard, let alone experienced a denial of support on a paid product only 14 months after purchase. Rather than stand on my soap box and preach all the grievences I have please allow me to share my support request after I experienced a system crash on the pc I built for my children. After rebuilding the system and reinstalling their product I had trouble registering the software. Please keep in mind that the time frame between my purchase and the support request was exactly 1 year and 61 days. I'll let you make up your own mind.
My request:
"I'm having trouble entering the activation key. I enter the key I received via email and hit run but it still pops up with "You can run the program 7 more days before it expires" each time I enter back in. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you."
Their reply:
"Your license is for one PC only. You purchased it well over a year ago. The free upgrade is no longer available to you. The new version requires new registration. If you ordered a CD, you can install it from CD. As a customer, you can upgrade to the New version without paying the full price. This offer is only available to existing FCA customers. Please visit xxxxxx." -

Does not work, at all, then errors out and crashes your PC, running Windows 7 64 bit. Demanded a refund and basicly told to go F&*^ myself by this CON of a software company. I am out $40..

, i hope this company gets sued VERY soon. I am currently GIVING away copies of this software with the license key to ANYONE even considering buying this JUNK! Since this comapny REFUSES to refund me my money I am also listing this junk via torrent online as well, in hope that people will use this giveaway than rather fork over $ for a POS that most likley wont work, maybe next time some poor sap asks for a refund for your JUNKWARE you will consider refunding them, YOU COMMIES!

Causes start up issues, Slows down my laptop and I can't uninstall it. I give it less than one star.

I downloaded Family Cyber Alert 4.3 because it received 5 stars in (download.cnet.com). Family Cyber Alert 4.3 does filter some websites but there is still ways to easily bypass it. Now it is on (hide mode) and I could not find it anywhere. I decided to uninstall it but I can?t even find it in (uninstall programs area). It is totally hidden!
This is by far the worst internet filter software I have ever used. I?ve been testing internet filters for about ten years and Net Nanny 6.5 is the best internet filter I have ever used. If you ever download Net Nanny make sure it is the 6.5 version and newer because it does a good job blocking out proxies. It doesn?t surprise me that Net Nanny 6.5 is voted number one in most websites. -
"This program does not log all Live Messenger mess."

Easy to install and remove. The GUI makes sense; easy to get where you need to go.
Cons
It does not completely log all Live messenger communication. I can that I am missing messages, funnily enough i can see them in the keystrokes log. Makes me feel this is an unreliable product.

Its a kind of a nice program to have, but not for the serious person who needs to know all.

Cons
Slows down startup, and every other program you use, it also sucks up a lot of hard drive space from the screenshots and thousands of text files it logs, also if you need task manager forget it because this blocks it. Easy to disable as well.
Summary
If you want to know whats going on, try something a little more discreet because this opens an installer window when updating, there is also an icon that briefly shows up on the taskbar telling you what it is. Also if you need to use the same computer and need to end a process or program through task manager forget it, this thing blocks it out entirely.

I own a local computer repair shop and tested several monitoring software programs. This one is my favorite. It works very well for my clients. Great support is a plus.
Cons
Email alert feature does not work for everyone.
Summary
I installed it on my clients? computers if asked. It has been performing consistently and requires little support and saves me a lot of time. Great product and recommend it.
