Falling Balls is a fun, free, simple game in which you help a stick figure avoid a messy demise under the game's titular falling balls. This game makes simple, but clever use of the iPhone and iPod Touch's accelerometer, as you tilt your device left or right--a little or a lot--to help your stick-avatar walk, jog, or sprint out of the path of randomly sized, endlessly dropping and bouncing balls.
The spare animation and goofy sound effects are enjoyably playful--for example, your stick figure seems to nervously shake (and pant?) while at rest--but the game earns a 9+ age rating for "Mild Cartoon or Fantasy Violence," because whenever your stick figure dies, it does so with an over-the-top scream and bloody splat. Overall, this game doesn't offer very much complexity, but its straightforward gameplay and bare-bones aesthetic can offer more addictive replay value than many other, more elaborately produced titles.
