Very interesting. I am thinking of fooling my friends and see how they react when they see someone else on my webcam.
Cons
I needed to make it work on Camfrog so I contacted them and they gave me another installation which works with a camfrog. You need to download the latest version to work with other applications.

easy to use.
even the trial version version lets me play the video without any logo.
works best with yah00, M$N, camfrog and paltalk, I don't use any other messenger so you need to test it yourself.
The best thing I like this one is that that it alows me that trial version shows logo after each minute and not all the time. The other software webcam I tried, they all show logo or their trade-mark right away.
Cons
just to rub it, I had to search on many forums to find right videos to play on it. If you want to pretend to be a hot woman you need to have a vidoe of a hot woman chatting to play on webcam so that the person who watches your webcam can turn on and do whatever you want him/her to do.

I have a huge collection of webcam videos and all I just needed was a player to play them on webcam. I cannot post URLs here but search google with "webcamsn" and
"freeamateurhomevideo" and you will find tons of videos to play using fake webcam.

Among all the related products I used this is the best in terms of funtionalities and price.
Cons
From the discription it was hard to understand that demo/trial version works only with MSN and Yahoo. Took sometime to fgure out that I need to purchase it to make it work with SKYPE, CAM FROG and PALTALK.

1. does not support many movie formats
2. occasionally crashs depending on the movie format
3. The TRIAL version shows "FAKE WEBCAM"
at the end of a movie
4. very high CPU utilization when movie plays
Some comments on "Fake Webcam" are relly outdated because "splitCam" also plays movies, offers more functionality (pictures, snapshots, splitting,...) and is for FREE. Compare yourself and you'll give up on this one!

Its pretty easy to install and configure for Yahoo and works just fine. Its a really kool utility to let u share your recorded movies with friends or to fool someone.
The site provides a few sample viedo which can be used.to test the product.
Cons
The initial screen whick is the company logo is a give away. I not sure if the logo remains or not in the Paid version.

its a big con as once you buy it you cant re_install it,i made a back up copy as i do with all software and it gives you an old registration code and you cant remove it,the one you had before purchase,also this software locks up alot on yahoo messenger and frame rates are very slow,i think its crap software.
