From FairStars Soft :FairStars CD Ripper rips audio CD tracks to WMA, MP3, OGG, VQF, FLAC, APE, and WAV formats on the fly. Free CDDB is supported (querying and submitting). The program supports normalization when ripping as well as ID3 tag. It also supports playback with its built-in player.
Version 1.27 adds auto un-mark feature support, and adds auto background-extracting feature support, also updates WMA codecs.

"Works Great on XP Pro, lots of options."
Pros: Sucessful CDDB Query in 2 seconds. Selectable output file type and bitrate. Automatic ID3 tag generation. Customizable file name format. Ripped tracks faster than windows media player. Optional auto volume leveling. Intuitive user Interface.
Cons: none I have found
Summary: I couldnt imagine a CD Ripping software that would be better than this.. and its free. FairStars got it right with this one. Ive tried many others and they are garbage compared to this. Half the others on CNET wont install or wont access CDDB.

Pros: This is a very nice CD ripper. It installed easily and I haven't had any problems with it.
Cons: None that I can think of.

"Ripper for Free that works a treat on Vista"
Pros: Because it works, it's free and so simple to use.
Cons: No cons, maybe more formats could be used, but for what i am after it's excellent.
Summary: Download this and save your self a headache... it really is free and it really works!
