"Easy to use"

Pros
I'm on a proxy server at work, and it autodetected everything. Where every other program I've tried couldn't connect, this one zipped right through. It has a straightforward UI, which is good.

This is the best FTP programme. I've tried several FTP programmes, but non of them was easy to use or they didn't work. Believe me, if it's work on my computer I'm sure it's gonna work on yours.
Cons
The only thing what I don't like that much is that it isn't fast.

I didn't even get it installed because it uses the infamous Windows installer which requires you to have Internet Explorer web browser installed. Great work guys! You've excluded everyone who might a) not browse the internet or b) use a web browser different than IE from your userbase. Let's see if I can find an FTP client not dependant on propriatory technology someplace...

loads quick, simple interface , allows multiple connections and its free which is nice ;-).
Cons
you are forced to download and upload via buttons instead of having the availability of 'browsing' via a left pane compared to other apps like say ws_ftp or blazeftp. I found this lack of UI useability unacceptable and I uninstalled it immediately. Others may not be so picky but I like to be able to browse for my files like say with Windows Explorer or a similar application.

Summary
Found it a bit difficult to get started with this software, as the set-up is quite different from other bootstrap FTP programs. Interface didn't suit my requirements, so I decided to uninstall. Main reason for reviewing is to warn that there is no UNINSTALL option.

"Easy, neat, simple, FREE, drag and drop FTP"

Summary
Just what I was looking for, tried a lot of the 'not free' ones which had too many bells and whistles ....
This a simple drag and drop FTP program .... I wanted to upload some video clips to share on my ISP web space and this was just so easy.
Once you set up your web space details (login name/password/space address etc) you juts treat the Surfer window juts like a browser window ... couldn't be easier ... (can even delete and edit file names on servers using normal window commands).
If you want an easy + simple FTP program for FREE, this has got to be it !
(Well done developers of this, and thanks for the free program). -

Summary
Being a newbie to "power-surfing"(upgraded from modem to broadband just a couple of weeks ago) I have no exp. with ftpsites and ftpdownloading, but needed a easytouse, small and free program to help a friend to download from such a site. I downloaded this prg, installed it ,connected to a ftpsite and started. Might be a bit unstable and it would be easier if it remembered your latest choice of folder, but otherwise surprisingly easy to get started with.
