Pros
Plays every file type, no need for codecs, saves play list files, runs capture device feeds, video and audio tweak controls to the ceiling,
Cons
Default skin is incredibly boring, clicking main video screen doesn't pause/play, If there is a capture function for use with capture cards/tuner cards, I haven't figured it out and this should be a default control along with play, stop, pause etc.
Summary
I no longer use Jet Audio for audio files and rarely ever use the WMC player. I play a lot of music videos so the ability to save play lists is undeniably precious. The default skin is boring and it is pretty annoying to have to customize the interface or deal with finding skins that you like.
Bottom line is it's the best universal player around free or otherwise. They just need to incorporate a simple capture function with compression available.
