Fit Radio takes one of the more popular features of other radio curation services and builds an entire app around it. The result is a stripped-down music discovery and radio app that works perfectly for those who are heading to the gym and don't already have their own playlists.
The purpose of Fit Radio is to create and curate playlists of songs that are perfect for anyone going to the gym or working out at home. It combines a number of features in terms of DJ-supported playlists and custom songs to give you a choice among dozens of possible tracks on various stations. The music, itself, doesn't appear to be pulled from Top 40 lists or current catalogs; in the time we spent with the app, only a handful of songs were immediately recognizable, but the songs selected are all good representations of their genre and fit the moods listed pretty well. Setup is a bit slow and the Facebook sign-in option did not work properly; but with options to choose tracks or lists by DJ (they are all real people), favorite songs or stations, and much more, this is a very good app.
If you want to discover new music or just keep yourself moving the next time you are at the gym, Fit Radio is a good app with which to do so. Loaded with numerous playlists--from 80's music to meditation tracks--Fit Radio can work for most people when working out.
