Ez Internet Timer

"took over my machine"
Pros
don't know - I got rid of it as soon as I could
Cons
It took over my computer to a frightening extent. It started up automatically and ran in the backround, doing it's job (fortunately in my case I hadn't asked it to do anything yet). I couldn't open it, however I tried. I couldn't delete it because it was running. I couldn't stop it running because it wasn't to be found on my taskbar. I tried opening taskmanager, but EZ timer didn't let me, saying I needed to uncheck that option in Ez timer, which I couldn't do because I couldn't open it. Ccleaner proved uneffective here as well, both in deleting it and in stopping it at start-up.
Luckily for me, I have a brother who is a phd student in programming so he talked me through getting rid of it, but it was a fairly complicated thing to do.Summary
Maybe it was just doing its job, but it is a programme that you cannot control once you've got it. AVOID. AVOID AVOID.

It is very sad that people instead of requesting help from the software developer just hurrying up to leave a negative feedback.
From your feedback I see that the product worked well however you didn't read the user manual and didn't contact our 24x7 customer support.
At the end of the installation procedure you were asked if you want to run the program, You said yes, therefore the program started.
You said you couldn't open the task manager or remove the program and even your PhD brother had hard time to remove it? That meant the program has very well designed protection from unauthorized removal which makes the Ez Internet Timer one of the best parental controls. If you took time to read how to use the Internet Timer, you would see that uninstallation of the program is password protected and you just needed to enter the password you have set. Next time, please give us a chance to help you. As always, working hard for you creating great software, sincerely IT Works Corporation.
