I love to play games (like The Sims 2) and I download a lot of custom content, which requires me to unzip many files. It would take me forever to unzip dozens of files separately, but with this program I can extract several files at the same time in a really easy and fast way. I definitely recommend this program, especially since it supports several file types.
Cons
Like some have mentioned, the interface isn't anything spectacular. I could care less about something like that, though, but it bothers some people.

The most pathetic excuse for an interface I've ever seen. That would be bad enough but right off the bat it couldn't process a RAR file, and left me to wonder what was happening. Downloaded 7 ZIP and the RAR unpacked like a C.H.A.M.P. and has a GREAT, nicely designed interface. We're on Windows 2000 and the option to unpack the RAR with their NT extractor was appreciated.
This thing is a dog. I have no idea why anyone gives it more than one star. Get 7 Zip, and then show up here and tell me it doesn't make EXTRACTNOthing look like your first attempt at a bmp in Paint.

used extract now for three years. in my opinion it is mostly realiable, free, has no adware/spyware (at least not in my version 3.60) and has an easy interface.
Cons
the software sometimes produce error (think mostly because of corrupt compressed files, not because of the software)
