Cons: My CON is that I can't find anything wrong with the software yet*!!!

Version: Expstudio Audio Editor Free 4.31
Pros: It meets my needs. While it is a basic program, recording and editing are simple enough. I am also able to save all of my files (albeit .wav) and burn them to a cd.
Cons: Unless you purchase the upgrade, you can't save files as .mp3, thus, limiting its usage, somewhat.
Summary: I like this program more than Audacity. It is more user-friendly for me. There are limitations but the learning curve is short. read more

"Good, but it deleted files upon exit"
Pros: It was easy to select the recording source (although a little hidden because the tab was sideways). To select the source click on the recording tab.
Cons: It did not let me save the file as an MP3 and ask to upgrade for that. It deleted all of the sound files I had in that temp directory. It named the files as temp files and deleted them upon exiting the program. So I was left with nothing.
Summary: If you rename the temp files to wav you will be able to hear them and keep them. The action of deleting files makes me think that the free program is a trial version, not one that you will keep for regular use.
