"Extremely powerful. (Physics student review)"
Pros: No matter what they say, basic high school knowledge is more than enough to get you started. And if you`re studying Maths or Physics, with this software you can out-trance Tiesto in no time. Basically, it provides a script language which consists of the basic expressions connected with sound (sin, cos, exponent etc.) plus a few "shortcuts" and extra logical functions which allow you to arrange your sound on a time scale - these are explained in the Help docs. You can greatly improve your sound by adding harmonics and modulation, and - after direct export to WAV - use another program to match to the tempo of your favourite sampler. Of course, this would take a lot of time if you wanted to script every sample from scratch; but with wise use of variables, you can automate most tasks and create new sounds by merely re-defining values. This product can create really magnificient background layers and string-like instruments, as well as strange sound effects; the possibilities are limited only by your imagination and knowledge.
Cons: Despite what the docs state, the time variable *is* measured in seconds; if you feel different, this is because the time counter is forward compared to the actual sound due to hardware capabilities (but it`ll be all right in the exported WAV). There`s no "save as" command, so you need to be careful not to save over your old file accidentally. The main window is a bit too small, which makes it more convenient to write script in Notepad and copy&paste. Perhaps, this program is not for you if you`re a hardcore humanist.
