"BEWARE: blue screen of death"
Version: Express Rip 1.81
Pros
Software ran ok, but I've had system problems since then.
Cons
My computer has been crashing and burning lately. Finally got "stdriver32.sys" off the screen. The only occurance of this file was part of this software. Didn't connect the system problems with this software until now.
Summary
STAY CLEAR!!!

"Mislabeled as free; it's only a trial version"
Version: Express Rip 1.81
Pros
Simple to use, could use low bitrates, which I needed
Cons
Not free as stated; this is not clearly indicated
Summary
This is NOT freeware (with an optional premium version), as it may appear to be. After some days it requires purchase for continued use. The lack of clear classification and/or information is unbecoming.
Correction: there IS a free option after all. When I tried to uninstall, it gave the option to convert to the free version. It now rips to MP3, though the resulting files were strangely not associated with any player (even with their .mp3 extension). Seems of somewhat limited value if things turn out like this.

"Very fast. Best if you are converting many cds at once"
Version: Express Rip 1.81
Pros
Great if you are converting many cds at the same time.
Cons
File management could be better. E.g., it could by default put you in the last folder you used, instead of making you browse through the menu. It also would be nice if it had additional formats.
Summary
VEry easy to use, and a great time saver.

"Does what it says very well"
Version: Express Rip 1.81
Pros
lots of ripping options for audio quality, quick to identify tracks and to rip them
Cons
The interface takes some getting used to. ID3 tagging could be more robust for larger libraries
Summary
Once you get this program set up as you like it, you will find a robust encoder with lots of versatility. However, setting it up is harder than it should be due to the interface. It's a bit cryptic and you are best to go directly to th eOptions to set things how you want them first.

"Very fast ripping software"
Version: Express Rip 1.61
Pros
Rips audio from CD's faster than any other program I have used. Many output format options. Very easy to use.
Cons
Can't find any yet
Summary
Very fast ripping software.

"pretty good"
Version: Express Rip 1.61
Pros
Many false downloads but I can find about 75% of the music I seek. Pretty good. Not fantastic, but pretty good
Cons
Again, there are too many false download results, and there are too many songs Frostwire cannot find
Summary
Overall, since it is shareware, I woudl highly recommend it, but it should be coupled with another more precise search engine to find songs you will not find on a Frostwire search

"Fastest ripping software I've ever found - awesome!"
Version: Express Rip 1.61
Pros
Super-fast ripping speeds, automatically associates titles with the tracks, and most importantly, FREE!!
Cons
Nothing so far!
-
"Easy, small and useful software"
Version: Express Rip 1.61
Pros
Very easy to use, just insert dis, open the software and just save it in any format.. excellent
Cons
This is NOT Free! in a few days appears a message to buy it and then programs stop working...

"A good product"
Version: Express Rip 1.61
Pros
Easy to use with clear unfussy user interface. Generous 'free trial' time.
Cons
Would like compression option - as I use the ripped copy for in-car entertainment
Summary
I chose this program for its ability to rip multiple tracks as a single file, which is not available on all its competitors. It worked quickly and (unlike the previous ripper I was using) did not distort the start of each track.
