  Version: Explogen 2

  "Basic - Requires Other Seperate Downloads"

  Pros: Explosions are realistic, with particles option, and a preview button.

  Cons: All this program does is generate the frames. You have to use an animation editor that the user is supposed to provide. No sound effects with explosion either.

  You are very true this program only gives you the frames of the explosion. So you do need some sort of animation editor to compile them into an animation. However, this was partly done because most image editors support .bmp while not all of them support .gif(animation file type). This way more people will be able to use them.
