"No way to turn off to access USA sites....."

Great for the UK shows you will not be able to get otherwise....
Cons
No way to exit program to access USA programs. My Netflix thinks I am in the UK so I cannot access my queued movies. Limits some movies but can access UK movies. Some ads take over the webpage you try to access and once you are there you have to wait like an ad then click continue after the ad times out to access webpage you want.
Summary
It works, cool. Will need to uninstall on main PC and use it on one of my older laptops. Sad it doesn't have a way to turn it off and on when you need it.

"Worked wonderfully"

Works instantly after connecting and with wonderful quality, no bouncing by BBC.
Cons
Some ads but if you don't download the toolbar the ads are at a minimum and you can close them out.
Summary
I recommend this for any Anglophile or expatriate longing for a bit of the motherland's telly.

We were wathing BBC Iplayer ok until this week when now it says 'wrong area' so it no longer works

Too many adverts but I suppose that is what pays for but only when it works

Within days of installing Expat Shield 2 weeks ago, I now have the BSOD every day! and my protection sofware has defeat 3 keylogger attempts on my system, may be coincidence, but 1st time in owning laptop for 1 year

"Works but with problems"

Summary
I installed this product and was very happy to see that I could view iPlayer (BBC) programmes with no problem. Unlike some VPN programs, this one stays resident in memory on your PC and will interfere with your other web activities. Specifically, I found that when DISCONNECTED from the VPN I had the folloing symptoms:
1. MMORPGs would pause frequently (every 20 seconds)
2. Web pages in browsers would only partially load or sections would timeout
3. Visiting SpeedTest.net (a network speed testing website (duh)) I found that the download test worked (with good statistics), the upload test TIMED OUT every time!!!
When I uninstalled the VPN software, all problems were resolved. It would be so nice if you could exit out of this sftware when you're not using it, then everything would be fine.
I tested this on the latest 1.54 version of the software as well as 1.43, btw. -

"Excellent but beware of the ads"

Pros
It gives me a UK IP and so I can watch TV. Last night I was able to watch 2 episodes of Channel 4's Peep Show without a hitch.
Cons
It brings ads in its wake. I use it with Firefox and the add-on AdBlock Plus which means I am almost totally protected from the ads.
Can't connect to some websites.Summary
Great for free.
This product seriously pollutes browsers. I don't use Internet Explorer but have it installed because I need it occasionally. This software has MADE A TOTAL MESS OF IE. VERY PARISITIC. I would drop my rating to 3 or even 2 1/2 stars. I can only recommend it for Firefox with AdBlock Plus installed.

Easy to use interface. I declined the (recommended) toolbar so no changing of my home page and no popups.
Cons
Some inappropriate ads / banners for young eyes.
Summary
A very good tool / product. Great to be able to watch BBC programs in the US! Highly recommended.
