"Excellent little program"

I don`t know why someone complained about file content, double clicking opens the file or the location,this is a quick and very easy to use program,you can even delete files from the list.
Cons
It does excactely what it says so therefore there are absolutely no cons and beside that it is FREE!
Summary
I have had this program on my computer for the last 2 years and it has saved me a lot of time searching.

This distinction is not made clear in the program's title "Everything" which is completely misleading. The CNET reviewer also should have made this clear in his first paragraph, so those who need a file contents search can keep on looking, and not waste time auditioning this program. -

Summary
Search Everything is a must have for Windows 7, it searches everything on a drive(even hiiden files). I upgraded to Windows 7 recently but the built-in search sucks, I miss the search feature on XP but Search Everything has made it all better.

- One thing I missed is the ability to use wildcards and search for a particular type of file i.e. folder, doc, ppt etc. Need to check if I am missing something here.
Summary
Everything is one fast program (By 'Fast', I mean the speed of light) It is undoubtedly THE FASTEST desktop search tool I have ever come across. It pops up results so fast I feel prehistoric for having used Windows Search all these years :)
Everything is an excellent program and a must have for everyone. Forget Windows Search and get Everything; you will not regret it. -

What I really miss is the Google Desktop feature of tapping the control button twice to get the search bar and that doesn't appear to be available on Everything. The other thing I regret is the absence of being able to also search the web as I could do with G Dktop.
Summary
I have used Google Desktop for years and when I just tried to reinstall it I was horrified to discover that it is no longer available. If you try and download it from this site you get an error message although it shows several hundred downloads this week! odd!.. This is great but lacks the richness and flexibility of Google Desktop (see cons)

Really LOW RAM and resources.Cons
None of the things I have read other users saying, to me are just not the case. Resource hog? No way!!! Slow down your PC? Nope!! Sometimes it can use some CPU but I am talking perhaps 10 percent of one core on an average quad core or dual core 2g cpu system. hardly noticeable. Hardly noticeable on my 3.00 P4 HT CPU.
I can't understand the resource hog complaint at all...Summary
Everytime I install windows on anyone's PC, including all of my own, I install this fine piece of software.
You cannot find a faster desktop searcher and one that is so low on resources! That is one of the best things for me as I use it on two older PC's that are crippled by many other programs that do the same thing as Everything, just not quite as good...too much resource usage usually but not Everything, it's cool.
What more can I say hehe, just try it and see.
