"Stay away from the paid version"
Version: Evernote 4.6.4.8136
Pros
Sync:
I will give 4 stars for the free version and 1 for the paid version. The free version is good (but not perfect). The syncing mechanism works grate among different devices. The sync mechanism on Evernote is far beyond Microsoft OneNote crappy way of syncing.Cons
The paid version:
The thing they do not let you now is that you actually pays for each device you installed evernote one regardless of only one login name shared among all devices. Their support is also poor. They avoid answering you questions about their licensing system.
Format:
OneNote has still a 1000 procent better formatting system than Evernote. In OnNote you can paste tables and preserve formatting. In Evernote only the characters will be pasted from the spreedsheet.Summary
Use the free version and do not contact their support.
Evernote is best on syncing, but is poor on formatting compared with OneNote from Microsoft. -
"Excellent product."
Version: Evernote 4.6.2.7927
Pros
Makes organizing SO easy. Evernote clearly cleans up the item before saving.
Cons
Can't think of any.
Summary
I use EN all the time. Don't know what I would do without at this point. Instead of finding the right folder in documents, I just tag my item. Love it.

"Combined search/Web Clipper outstanding"
Version: Evernote 4.6.1.7860
Pros
Combined with browser search/Evernote Web Clipper outstanding
When searching in the browser, Evernote search results will display alongside search results. So, clip a bunch of pages, and when you search the web, your Evernote will get searched also.Cons
10 characters minimum here: can't think of any negatives
Summary
Liddle fantastic

"Something wrong with Web Clipper"
Version: Evernote 4.6.0.7670
Pros
Keeping aside this problem I do like Evernote
Cons
After latest update of Evernote to 4.6.0.7670 version Web Clipper stopped working on my notebook (Windows XP Home Ed.) At the same time my desktop (Windows 7) gave mixed results. Some functions of Web Clipper are OK, but screen copy is not possible. All refreshing downloads as well as numerous letters to support team produced zero result.
Summary
Since support team stopped replying after first simle advices I came to conclusion that there is a fundamental problem.
My last hope for new version free from this bag. -
"Simple Simple Simple"
Version: Evernote 4.6.0.7670
Pros
Evernote has been around forever and yet it has remained a very easy to use program. Get it you'll love it.
Cons
I can't think of any.

"Windows install hijacks home page & search provider"
Version: Evernote 4.5.10.7472
Pros
It is a good app in the ipad and windows. BUT when you do the windows install, it hijacked chrome, firefox and IE. I went back to the install and saw there were some very small check boxes in the find print to allow the changing so be careful!
Cons
TERRIBLE that it changes home page search engine, and in google chrome adds an extension that changes back the home page to some weird site even if you change it to something like yahoo.com. The site was flagged by McAfee.
Summary
Use at your own risk.

"It is OK but can't do everything well !!"
Version: Evernote 4.5.10.7472
Pros
Graphic and design is nice. Good to keep track of ideas or things seen especilly on the internet.
Cons
Not so easy to use. Font size is much too small.
Summary
In fact, I use now sweetpicks ... it is a new note app that has just been released. But this is best suited to take notes while out in the street (instead of taking basic pictures). Details on sweetpicks.net

"Indispensable across multiple devices and platforms."
Version: Evernote 4.5.8.7356
Pros
Works well for everything from little notes to long essays to clipping multiple web pages and files. Input first, find later by doing (a nearly instant) simple or sophisticated search. (And one can enforce organization in additiona to searchability, if one wishes, using tags and folders.)
It's Internet communication is quite secure, too.Cons
A little clumsy for outlining, but it does work.
It'd be nice if there were some "emergency backup" or versioning of notes for those rare (for me, almost never) cases of accidentally deleting all the content in a note and then syncing. (More of an abstract than concrete worry for me, but I have seen others' horror stories.)Summary
Because of its cloud-based cross-platform capabilities (I use Windows 7, iOS on iPad and iPhone, and occasionally the web version) to store and rapidly retrieve a wide variety of text and graphical information, this is arguably the most indispensable program I use.
Highly recommended, with a great "freemium" model the offers real benefits to those who pay without crippling the product for those who don't. -
"Wouldn't be without it"
Version: Evernote 4.5.7.7146
Pros
I'm a computer tech and may fix a problem today, but need to lookup what I did 2 years from now. Also, questions from the boss about ongoing issues that span months. I have Emails from other employees, and all emails I send BCC'd to Evernote via mail filters automatically.
I save fixes, web pages, and Documents. I can even make a quick document with screenshots pasted in, then share the document quickly with an Evernote URL.
When I'm on a conference call, I pop open a new note for any jotting down I need to do.
You get a new allotment of space every month. I'm a paid subscriber and happy to be one.Cons
If bulk sending email when first setting things up, be aware of an email limit (right now 250 per day for subscribers).
