Version: Everest Ultimate Edition 4
"Good program for most computers."
Pros: Nice looking, professional interface. Complete details on all system components. Better then older versions and Everest Standard. It?s Vista compatible which is great for my dual hard drive desktop. I have Vista Home Premium on drive 1 and XP Pro on drive 2. Everest is a very accurate, informative program. It provides accurate info on system hardware, operating system, installed software and the software licenses. It tells which Windows Updates you have installed. It provides the operating temperature of hardware components when applicable. If it?s information about your computer your looking for, Everest Ultimate is the way to go.
Cons: It doesn?t test the performance of hardware components. It doesn?t support my Video Card. It doesn?t support my optical drives. It uses more ram while running (1% of 2GB) and puts to many icons on my taskbar. Try Performance Test. It?s a system benchmark test that?s accurate, easy to use and does test the performance of all my hardware components. It?s is available for download here and is $5.00 cheaper then Everest. It also works on XP and Vista so one license does it for both my hard drives.

"Most complete diagnostic information tool!"
Pros: Very comprehensive list of information about given computer. It is the first software (out of many tried) that accurately shows sensor information from my hard drives. Overclocking tab is helpfull as most applications fail to show the difference if you overclock.
Overall, very great product, used for years, never crashed.
OS: Win98se & WinXPpro
Pent3-500(OC), 512 ram
Cons: More benchmarking options would be nice.. eg. test hard drive, cpu, etc.
Also, reading sensor information from USB hard drive would be a good feature, if it is possible.
