Version: Eudora 7.0.1
"Fast & secure!"
Pros: I don't like Outlook at all, and had been using Thunderbird as my default e-mail client, but I thought I would give Eudora a test. Eudora smokes both of these in speed, security, and extra features. As far as speed goes, I right clicked on a couple of my paid programs and e-mailed them to my Yahoo account to save them in my folders,(they were each about 5 MB) and Eudora conected and sent them in about 10 seconds. I opened my Yahoo account and both apps were already my in my Yahoo Inbox...now that is fast! Try Eudora, it's free! I rate it 5 stars and two thumbs up!
Cons: Yes, the free version has some little ads, but they are not distracting.

Eudora 7.0.1 is free forever, as far as I know. If you don't like the little ads you can buy it, but there is no need to do that as the ads are not distracting. Happy downloading!
