EIMS supports SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, Ph, LDAP, and Eudora auto-configuration (based on ACAP). Support for filter plugins gives EIMS powerful security, anti-spam, and anti-virus capabilities. Administration is handled by an easy to use Macintosh administration program that operates over IP for remote administration.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. Good solid email server program for the Mac. Doesn't crash. Excellent support from the developer who responds to questions quickly. Priced right. Easy to use/not hard to install or configure. I would recommend it.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. EIMS is a great product. We use it for years under OS 9. Running EIMS under Mac OS X isnÃ¢??t really comfortable currently. ItÃ¢??s a nightmare to have a user logged in just for having your mail server up and running. If you think about starting EIMS like IIR prefers, please donÃ¢??t do it. YouÃ¢??re server will be completely opened for everyone. No more need to know the root password. Just click the EIMS console window and you are root! Not a really safe solution.
