Version: Epson Stylus Color 600 Driver 2.2EES (7/16/98)
"Very old. Poor results."
Summary: It works under any version of Windows (I am not sure about XP because I don't have them) but it does not give the results that 600 can produce. I advice you to use the driver for 660 for prints and this driver for other things like cleaning the print heads! The driver for 660 is using Photo enhance 4 while this driver only uses the first version of Photo Enhance, which is very poor. I canĀ?t understand why Epson never put Photo Enhance 4 in this driver. I donĀ?t think that Photo Enhance 4 is anything else than software. Iam using for more than 2 years the driver of 660 with 600 and the printings are mutch better than with this one.
Do they think that Nvidia is stupid when it is producing a new driver that gives to older models 10 to 20 percent better results in 3D graphics? Because if Nvidia or other companies have such ideas then as an example Geforce 4 would have been nothing else than a Geforce 3 with a better driver. I am very disappointed that Epson never produced a driver that can really use this printerĀ?s true capabilities. Not to mention that stupid chip which does not let you use the printer when one cartridge is empty and the other is not.
EPSON? I donĀ?t think so! They will have to change the way they think about there customers first.
