Version: EnterpriseTenFold SOA Personal Edition 2007.12
"The best product that never was"
Pros: I've been watching TenFold for years, and have downloaded every version of their personal edition for the past three years. The software was truly amazing.
Cons: Unfortunately, the company had financial problems and was acquired a couple of months ago. This week (August 10 or 11, 2008) their website disappeared, and their phone was disconnected. Don't get too attached to this software, because the company is no more!

"Breakout discontinuous innovation"
Pros: For creating business applications or components (individual Web services), there is nothing comparable on the planet. Unlike writing code in Java or .NET, all I had to do was data enter a description of my application using TenFold's screens. When I finished, the application was ready to run. No code; not even generated code to maintain. Basically, once you have your data architecture and a list of the transactions and reports you'll need, you're almost home free.
This is the first technology ever to make evolutionary prototyping a viable process model for complex business applications. It's as much an advance over "agile" as "agile" is over traditional software development processes.
Cons: I haven't found any way to reverse engineer the design of an existing database into the product. That would save time up front, at the expense of forcing you to reevaluate your existing design.

"Best enterprise application software available!"
Pros: Builds quality applications extremely fast. Connect to the application in a browser or on a Windows client. Make changes easily.
It just works.Cons: The full version is expensive for Value Added Resellers who want to create SAS applications and applications for resell.
