"It works, after a fashion"
Version: EmailTray 4.0
Pros
Since ditching Gmail all I want is a simple notifier that works wiith IMAP. EmailTray is the only one I've found so far that actually works for me.
Cons
The tray icon is too small and to make it worse it's divided with a horizontal line so you know what priority new mail is. It would be better with a simple box that just shows the number of new mails. Anyway how can a piece of software decide what priority my mail is? Only I can tell that. Of the test messages I sent myself, it put one of them in spam! I also found the hard way that messages I deleted from EmailTray were deleted from my webmail as well.
Summary
In my opinion it's more of an email client with a notifier added, and from my point of view it's more than I want.
Since writing the above I've given up on using IMAP for a notifier, and I'm now happily using a POP3 one, which is Poppy.

"Great product"
Version: EmailTray 4.0
Pros
The various ways in which to organize emails.....
Cons
None yet. I have not yet figured out if there is a select all button that can eliminate all the SPAM mail at once, instead of having to manually delete one by one, but still an amazing program.

"Usable and useful software"
Version: EmailTray 4.0
Pros
1. EmailTray v.4 brought a Contact View mode instead of standard Message View mode. This turned out to be very useful and familiar for me. There is a "switch back" option, if you like previous view.
2. Save-good-messages-from-spam feature works well and correctly.
3. It looks fine even on small screens, such as my 14" laptop.
4. With my email overload (200-500 messages per day) I work in "Top priority messages" folder most of the time. I look into other folders twice a week. Acceptable for me.
5. I noticed the "Anti-phishing" feature. It is not advertised much, but it is really helpful. It saved me a few times by alerting that "this weird message is NOT from PayPal. This is fake!".
6. Program UI is not ordinary for email software, but I kinda like it.Cons
1. Address Book must be cleared out from bugs. Seems that it's in beta now.
2. EmailTray should pal up with Windows Aero: the upper part of UI is barely visible due to semi-transparency of program window.
3. This software needs some minor tweaks. For example, I hided message list panel, but it showed again when I re-open EmailTray.Summary
Nice new ideas, not ordinary but familiar interface. These distinguish EmailTray from other email software. In other words, if your current email program does not make you happy or you are bored with it, then you should try EmailTray.
