"I've used EmEditor for years, it's the best!"
Version: EmEditor Professional (32 bit) 6.0.3
Pros
I have used EmEditor to edit HTML pages containing Japanese, Chinese and Korean text without destroying the encoding. Anyone who has worked with these languages knows the pitfalls of trying to use editors such as Notepad, Visual Studio, etc.

"Well-designed for power, dazzling speed, and ease of use"
Version: EmEditor Professional (32 bit) 6.0.2
Pros
Love the modular design and progress EmEditor has made over the past version. It was already excellent, but now it's incredible in so many ways. With its plug-ins, you can customize it to your work environment. Very well designed, indeed.
Cons
EmEditor has no weaknesses.

"The only text editor you'll ever need."
Version: EmEditor Professional (32 bit) 6.1
Pros
I've been using EmEditor for years, and I highly recommend it. It's very fast and lightweight, but also very powerful and customizable. The context configurations that it ships with are good, but the real power is that you can easily customize these and extend them to fit your needs. Regular expressions support is excellent, both for find-change and for context coloring. Between the robust built-in features and the exstensibility made possible through active scripting, I'm yet to find something I haven't been able to do in EmEditor.

"Editor for html source from Internet Explorer"
Version: EmEditor Professional (32 bit) 6.1
Pros
It's very convenient to view the source code of a web page with a one click from Internet Explorer.
I like its native Windows XP look.
There are few interesting plug-ins, like file view and outline, even possibility to build custom ones. However I'm not sure if someone except developers of this editor will code custom extensions.
Cons
I prefer a code color scheme like in MS Visual Studio, however here it's a bit different by default.
Toolbar is full of practically unused buttons.
I haven't found how to turn on line numbering.

"Truly the best in the market"
Version: EmEditor Professional (32 bit) 6
Pros
It's hard to find argument why a software developer should live without this editor. Among other excellent features, here are my favourites:
- Advanced macro support, using standard scripting languages. I use macros to do crazy things, like connecting with web service, syncing data with database, and such. Whatever you can do manualy with user interface, automate it with macro.
- True, no-compromise unicode support. The author of the software, coming from Japan, obviously understands that we live on the world of hundreds of languages and encodings, not just plain ASCII.
- Great support. This software is developed by a guy who actually listens. I have sent questions by mail and got instant reply. The software has online discussion forum where to get answers and exchange ideas.
In one word - excellent! Keep up the good work, Yutaka!

"Brilliant, highly efficient editor"
Version: EmEditor Professional (32 bit) 6
Pros
This editor has everything you could want as a general purpose editor. I use it for everything from programming, through looking at XML to writing articles.

"What the Windows Notepad should have been"
Version: EmEditor Professional (32 bit) 5
Pros
EmEditor has been my default note pad, html editor and view source app for years. It's got a clean interface and loads just as quickly as Microsoft Notepad does. Code formatting and coloring is excellent and extensible via plug-ins. A new tabbed interface means that you can have several instances of EmEditor opened but not worry about cluttering up your desktop or taskbar.
Cons
EmEditor has plug-ins which allow you one click access to previewing your work in a browser. Plug-ins for IE, Opera and Mozilla are all available but, as of yet, there isn't a plug-in for Firefox.

"Favorite text editor"
Version: EmEditor Professional (32 bit) 5
Pros
Regex find/replace for multiple files; good handling of massive text files; syntax highlight; ability to handle most, if not all encodings; free for students :)
