You can have multiple files open at one time and edit each one without closing any others. You can select fonts from your whole inventory of fonts loaded.

Other comments have hit the points I would make. It's an outstanding program for quick note taking.
Cons
As a long time user I had settings I liked. Installing new version wiped out all existing settings and my history. Would like to see an update version that leaves settings from prior versions intact. Also new install loses history from old version.
