"Truly MacDraw on Steroids"
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Because of the abundance of pallets that are accessed through several of the menus (not always obvious which) this application has a two-day learning curve even with the really excellent tutorial and the very good help files. When I was stuck, and particularly when I found bugs in earlier versions, the author was immediately responsive and helpful, however. Even with that slight negative, I highly recommend this as the vector-based tool of choice in OS X. I've tried a lot of the competitive drawing tools, at least in their demo modes, and not liked any of them as well. Now, more familiar with it's tricks and fiddles, I use it routinely for a huge variety of my projects and illustrations. I'm still running on the $20 trial, but as soon as it expires, I'll pony up the full, and very reasonable, amount.
