Summary
I use it a lot to find 'space hogs'. For example, if I am searching a whole disk, I can make the criteria the '*' wild card and then order the results by size. I don't know of any other alternative program that can achieve this.

Infinitely easier than Spotlight. I don't know how I got along without this program. Further, it tells you, once it finds what you're seeking, where the item is located. Hidden items of all kinds are examined, and the options cover every need I've ever had.
Cons
I can't think of any. There must be some. No doubt things exist that this program can't find. I read the review of the disappointed user. I don't know why he's having trouble, but suggest that he get in touch with Devon. That company puts out almost no defective work.

Pros
Simple layout and a directory table showing the "find" results. The handy feature is the answer stays put on the screen. You can click through the results without having the result disappear. Much better than Spotlight.
Cons
I really cannot think of a bad feature. Keep it simple.

Cons
Doesn't cache HD contents, so is slower than Spotlight.

A lot of cons, unless I am doing something wrong. But I thought this software was supposed to do the thinking/scouring for the user...not the reverse!
Summary
I have been searching for missing entries that were once located in my iCal + have since disappeared. I also have a back up hard drive, yet have had no success locating the lost or hidden info. I selected all means for "EasyFind" to populate my lost data + nothing came up. So, I entered a search with precise names...that ARE currently visible in many areas of my computer, such as, my calendar + my phone book + in various documents....all to no avail. I really don't understand what the hype is all about!!

Easy to use and relatively speedy. It will never approach Spotlight's speed because EF doesn't index anything.
Cons
A similar utility, Find Any File, has better display views of found items.
