......for some reason this is only searching on the desktop & the main HD but not on my second internal HD which Finder does search through. Is this meant to happen? -

In a previous review I said:
"This just can't get any better"
I was so wrong â?? it just did. Truly magnificent.
In forums I still see questions and discussions about Indexing. Apple, what are you doing? Have none of your software engineers a) heard of grep â?? but, more pertinently, b) seen what can be done with it as in this fantastic tiny little app?

"Great Product"

This is everything the Mac's OSX "Find" command should be. It is an amazing product -- it is flexible and easy to use. Above all it works quickly and is always up to date in its searches. Great product! -
"Most Useful 3rd Party App"
Version: EasyFind 3.1
Summary

Maybe this isn't my favorite third party app, but it is certainly the most useful! Much better than Sherlock. Can find every type of file and folder, even hidden ones. Very fast, even when checking the whole HD.
Allows you to move unwanted files and folders to the trash so you can check performance before completely deleteing. -

I hated Sherlock's endless indexing. EasyFind (v2.5) was the first freeware program added to my dock when I switched to OS X. It never fails to find what I am looking for. EasyFind is an app I use constantly and the only one which has been trouble free through all my OS X upgrades (currently at OS 10.3.2). I wish the products I pay for worked so well!
Thanks for an outstanding product! -

A beautiful way of implementing folder selection for those who want it - totally unobtrusive.
This just can't get any better.

"It beggars belief."
Version: EasyFind 3.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have used this time and time again over the last few months but still cannot get used to what appears to be the totally miraculous way it works. It never fails to find everything it should - and I would not hesitate to use it as a demo of how fast a Mac can work. Try it on even the most nested of folders and it truly beggars belief that such a speed is possible.
Absolutely fantastic!
PS   To the person who is asking for a greater choice of folders I would say: "No, no, no, no no!" - it would take far longer to navigate through a browser than to let this app simply do its stuff on an enclosing folder, no matter how far up the hierarchy that is. Bear in mind that you can always put aliases to frequently used folders into Favorites (or into Home) to have them appear in the list.
Thank you, Devon - very, very much.

"Very useful!"

However, I'd like to request 2 features:- Please give me more choices when selecting the folder I want to search (via a "Browse..." button or something like that).
- Could you add the possibility to quit EasyFind when it's window is closed?

"A gem."

No indexing!! I've used EasyFind for some time and depend on it to be quick, easy to use and able to do what I want. I agree, it should come with the OS. Did I mention no indexing? Thank-you for a great [FREE] app. that sees far more use on my machines than half the so-called utilities that come with OS X. -
"Highly recommend"

Unlike "Jay's" experience, EasyFind works great for me. I put it on my Dock and have used it many times to find documents whose file name I couldn't remember but which had a text string I did remember. Fast (depending upon CPU horsepower I suppose) and doesn't require you to "index" your HDD in advance. I just don't know anything not to like about this freeware app. I mean, who doesn't need a good HDD search tool?
