"Best synchronizing tool I have ever used"

Pros
Great customer support.
ETS automatically recognizes an external hard disk or flash drive connected via USB by the drive name even if the drive letter assigned by Windows is different each time.
Synchronisation of my large music library of over 100GB and thousands of mp3 files takes under a minute.
Organisation of different sync-jobs is so much easier with ETS. The log data can be stored as backup so that even in the case of a harddisk crash (happened to me lately) the synchronization history is there and all sync jobs don't have to be defined from scratch when reinstalling ETS.
I run ETS on my two laptops with only one license. Other software is maybe not that generous and maybe requires purchase of another license.
In case data has been changed on both locations since the last sync job, the program asks you on how to proceed and which version to keep (other software I have seen do not, so you can only pray and hope for the best with these products).Cons
If there is one little flaw or inconvenience I noticed it is this: I live in China and ETS seems to have a problem handling file names using Chinese characters. So if I could wish for an improvement, that would be it.

In the good old days we only had to manage a few office files and synchronising data between different machines was not a big issue, most people would only have one computer anyway. In recent years however our digital libraries have become ever larger comprising huge media libraries comprising thousands of mp3, jpeg and video files. Furthermore we tend to have several devices, a desktop maybe one or two laptops, many external hard drives to backup and store these huge amounts of data. In order to keep all these devices in sync there is no way around a professional backup and synchronisation tool.
I am not an expert on backup and synchronisation software. Myself I have only owned two commercial products so far, the one is USBsync by Data Becker which I ditched after purchasing EasytoSync. I also know two products which my employer uses but they have much less functionality, flexibility, are much less user friendly and I would never use them myself. ETS is by far the best tool I know in all aspects and using it is just a breeze. -

Set up has become very easy! The software works every time. Other similar software products have destroyed my data but after several years of using it I stand by Easy2Sync and Easy2Sync for Outlook. The developer is very responsive if you have Q's

Hard to think of any with the updated versions.

"The best product to make a backup of your files."

Easy to use and it really does the job of copying/syncing the correct files. Other products seems to miss files or copy/sync when it is already in sync.
Cons
No cons, it simply works well.
Summary
This is the best product I found to simply make a backup of your files and directories to an external device.
One press every day and you can rest assured that the files on the external device is really the current files.
Easy2Sync is fast since it only copy/sync files which changed.
The best part is that I can create more than one copy/sync method and execute the ones which are important at that time, based on the time available to sync.
Lastly, support and price is excellent. I recommend Easy2Sync to all my dumbo fat finger friends, as well as the smart ***** to make sure they have a backup of their work.
I travel often for work. Thus before I get on the plane, Easy2Sync updates the backup drive staying at home and another drive which travels in my luggage away from my laptop bag. -

Only the progress bar could be delivering more details, but all functions outlined on the web exceed my expectations by far.
Summary
The tool detected decay on one of my archive disks in a fraction of time.
Formerly I used Seatools from Seagate and Checkdisk/f to verify that my archive disks integrity was good. I never could tell whether a checkdisk repair had harmed the file without playing or comparing it to its copy. Now it is a scheduled process, that only takes minutes instead of a day under high CPU load.
In the past I used the Windows Explorer to copy data, but even under Windows 7 you can not rely on the copy job, as it might stop for a question or overwrites something I had forgotten, that was changed, simply because you can have Windows asking you every time again and sit before it, or risk overwriting by letting it do for all events.
Working on parallel systems without a shared data storage is impossible using Windows Explorer. Easy2sync now allows me to do it.
I am also using three PCs of which my two Notebooks need to be in sync regarding the project data. Easy2sync gives me the choice how to sync the data and stores my wishes for the next execution. So depending on which machine I used last I have a push of a button sync job to update the outdated machine. This will save me a lot of time, because I usually take electronic notes on the road, fix things in VMs etc.. -

After 5 years using Easy2Sync I can say: Very easy to handle, many choices and directions to synchronize my files (even the complete pst. file). I don't know, what I would do without Easy2Sync?

Nothing at all. Could not get it working. Seems to only offer to sync a simge folder, anyway.

I would definitely recommend this product, and have. I've used this for 4 years now (both data and Outlook versions) and have not needed to switch - works well and I'm happy with it! Sure, every program has it's quirks, but It's definitely worth buying.

The program flawlessly synchonizes my laptops with my office machine. This makes backups unnecessary for my documents on either machine. Terrifically helpful when I travel and connect via vpn to my office.
Cons
takes a little time to sort out how to do exclusions to backup files.
Summary
But most importantly the Easy2Sync company should be strongly praised for offering a free product that is excellent and fully functional. They immediately respond to requests for help. I bought the business version just to send them some money since I admire their spirit and perspective. Everyone should use this.

Summary
I?m using this program for several years. I believe this program is better than the others I tried before (paid and subsequently abandoned). You always know what he does and I have never had any security problem. Since I use it I always have the certainty of having all the necessary documents on my PC and on my Notebook.
