"doesn't work & has a trojan horse (according to AVG)"
Version: Easy WiFi Radar 1.05
Pros
nothing. Had high hopes based on reviews, but nada - zilch - nothing came of it. I am technically competent and tried this in multiple settings where I knew there were wifi spots.
Cons
when I just uninstalled it, AVG told me it had a trojan horse in it. How does CET vet this and tell us it is malware free when it isn't? I am REALLY annoyed about this and have lost a lot of trust in CNET, which I was - till now - a real fan of.
Summary
Keep away!

"Great software -- too bad it is severely underrated"
Version: Easy WiFi Radar 1.05
Pros
This software worked flawlessly for me. It allows me to automatically connect to available networks in range. The interface is also great (I love the sounds and the ability to "see" networks on the radar screen). Also, no registration was required!
Cons
1: There does not appear to be a way to automatically login to WEP-enabled networks.
2: Detail listed for each network is minimal.
3: The radar does not seem to be able to "see" where each network is relative to the computer it is loaded on.Summary
This software is going to be one of my personal favorites for a long time. It is free, unobtrusive, and it does just what it was supposed to do. I highly recommend this for any laptop user who wants internet access on the go. I am not particularly convinced that the previous reviewers who gave this product a one-star-rating had any idea what they were talking about, anyway.

"CRASHED immediately after install!"
Version: Easy WiFi Radar 1.05
Pros
Looked interesting in the description.
Cons
I just bought this computer 3 days ago, and it has a brand new, fresh install of Windows XP. This is the FIRST thing to crash it! And when I sent the report to Microsoft, nothing came back. Sloppy.
Summary
Never even ran once, on a brand new, fresh install of Windows XP.

"Does not work!"
Version: Easy WiFi Radar 1.05
Pros
Well there is a saying if it's too good to be true then it probably is and this applies here.
Cons
I first heard about this prduct on a video site, which claimed you could get free wifi anywhere with no adapters or connections. If only this was true,NO it's not,I am afraid.
Summary
The makers of this product claim that you can connect to the internet on free wifi even if you have no modem or smart card. But I found I could not get ANY connection ebven by pluging my telephone cable into my laptop. The only connection I got was my valid mobile broardband connection, which I pay for. Nobody gives anybody free internet anywhere, the information about this product is misleading. But then there is another saying-there's no such thing as a free lunch.Andrea.

"Doesn't support all wireless adapters..."
Version: Easy WiFi Radar 1.05
Pros
Software was not compatible with my wireless adapter, so i could not appreciate any pros in the software.
Cons
"Easy WiFi Radar supports 95% of all wireless adapters, but not all." From the Makayma Media's Easy WiFi Radar FAQ page.
Summary
Could be very useful software, IF it worked with my wireless adapter... :(
