Version: Easy Cash Manager 3.1.3
"Piece of cake! Easy to use, easy set up for my needs."
Pros: Glad I didn't have to keep the green screen! Love the options such as adding columns of my own, setting up regular payments to post, display according to date, or any other criteria to see what I need at a glance. Help function explained everything.
Cons: Am a week into using it, have entered 4 months of data, and haven't encountered ANYTHING I don't like. The snapshot of the green screen was a turn off, want other potential users to know you can change the color!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: I have been a book keeper, and appreciate it for it 's many options that allow me to be as detailed as I want, at the same time, keeping it simple. Anyone who uses a regular check book register to keep track of their expenses has enough know how to use this.
Suggestion: I added columns for "Ck # or code", as your checkbook register would have, and a "cleared?" column to allow me to enter a Y into when I am reconciling my bank account. Also selected option to have incomes and expenses be 2 different columns.
I appreciate that I can use subcategories to see how my money is being spent, ie. grocery, utilities, internet purchases, entertainment, misc.....but someone else could not use that column at all if you don't want to. It really gives you the versatility to keep it very simple, and use it like a check register, but with tools that allow you to sort and find info much easier than a checkbook register ever could......OR...to use the advanced options to make it really work for you, auto-posting payments, etc.....
I really love it, and am kicking myself for not doing it years ago!!!!!!!!!
