"1 GB free is great"
Version: Easeus Data Recovery Wizard Professional 5.5.1
Pros
Did find thousands of files on my 750 Gb drive which Windows couldn't boot from or see. I had to install the drive in another PC.
It let me search by file type in dir structure, or RAW anywhere on the surface.
I tried Recova and Pandora before this and they could do nothing for my drive.Cons
Would take 45 days of scanning to do full drive for all files. I thus took all pictures and .doc files which took 2 days. The drive fully failed before I got all the pictures off.
I am not sure if all recovery programs take this long to scan large drives.Summary
Excellent tool with lots of options. The 1 GB free version lets you test it out on a few vital files before buying. Be prepared to spend lots of time.

"It did everything it was supposed to."
Version: Easeus Data Recovery Wizard Professional 4.3.6
Pros
I got prompt replys from their support before I bought. Seemed very honest response to a question about their PTD software. They gave an unsolicited $10 discount on their Data Recovery Wizard Professional 4.3.6 software.
Cons
A little lengthy time (about 12+ hours) to scan the 40 gb HDD, then another longer period (about 17 hours) to copy the files.
Summary
The http://data-recovery-software-review.toptenreviews.com/ site shwed this program to be the third best of ten reviewed. Although the review stated a shortcoming of not recovering emails, I was able to find the Outlook Express inbox (inbox.dbx)and copy the file to my outlook express program and restore all my emails that I otherwise had lost. All in all, a good data recovery program.
