    "Useless so far."

    August 26, 2009  |   By Jack Kemp

    Version: Earth Alerts 2009.2.72

    Pros

    Nothing so far

    Cons

I downloaded, installed, and it disappeared into the inner workings of my computer and hasn't shown it's face since. I also have not found any instructions for it.

    Summary

It sounded real good in the promotional paragraph, but no performance. What have I missed???

    "Love This Program"

    August 26, 2009  |   By msjay160

    Version: Earth Alerts 2009.2.74

    Pros

It's up to date. I don't have to go searching all the different web sites for information. It's all here. I love that fact the I'm aware of events not in the news. Very informative. I can't say enough about this program.

    Cons

I have only two issues: if I get anywhere near the task bar the icon pops up, and there are alot of updating. I find these only minor irritations.

    Summary

It's a large program but it answers all my questions. This would be great for a college student or anyone wanting to learn and track weather patterns and prevention of impending threats. It's like a warning system especially since I spend most of my time on the net and not have the TV on for weather service warnings. I would highly recommend this program.

"One off the best weather monitoring programs out there!"

    August 25, 2009  |   By davejyd

    Version: Earth Alerts 2009.2.72

    Pros

Monitors numerous natural and weather "incidents" worldwide, or in your back yared. Allows monitoring of multiple areas at once, something No Other weather monitoring program does! And it actually has Tech Support! And It's FREE!

    Cons

    None that I can find

    Summary

If you want to monitor natural disasters and other phenoema worldwide, this is for you! But if you want something to monitor the local weather, and alert you to upcoming severe weather - then this is for you! Easy to set for either setting, or anything in between. And the Tech Support is AWESOME! I had an issue, and I e-mailed them, and had an answer and a fix later that day! Definitley the best weather program out there - And Free to boot!!

    Version: Earth Alerts 2009.2.44

    Pros

Lots of info and good updates (which can be turned off if they start to bug you.)

    Cons

Had some trouble with this release but the upgrade performed seamlessly on Vista.

    Summary

Definitely a worthwhile download for weather and nature geeks.

    "Good but could be better"

    August 12, 2009  |   By sjaicb

    Version: Earth Alerts 2009.2.44

    Pros

    I like the 10min reports.

    Cons

It is difficult to navigate the site. It keeps wanting to down load a Microsoft program that has already been down loaded twice.

    Summary

The concept is good but it would be better if the main focus was global rrather then US.

"An exceptional programme. Wish I had found it sooner!:)"

    August 11, 2009  |   By fullberth

    Version: Earth Alerts 2009.2.44

    Pros

There are really to many pros to just select several. I do like the fact that you can select any City/Town in the known world and add it to your own personal site.

    Cons

I have only used Earth Alerts for a short time, so no real cons, sorry no cons at all. The only problem that I have is that it works perfectly on my XP machine but, not on my Vista machine and, I cannot work out why!?

    Summary

I have always been a believer in that, however old one gets, it is great to learn something new each day, if at all possible!:)

To have the global dynamics of severe weatherand Mother Nature doing her thing in all her terrible majesty is, to be honest, fantastic.

Whether it be earthquake, volcano, typhoon et al. All of the available information, plus links are all contained within the programme.

Thank you, it is quite brilliant.

    "Good program"

    July 14, 2009  |   By davejyd

    Version: Earth Alerts 2009.2.4

    Pros

Monitor natural disasters all over the globe. Active weather alerts, and ability to monitor multiple areas locally, as well as globally. Unique warning settings (audible alert plus visual) make this one of the more functional programs I have used.

    Cons

Cumbersome interface, difficulty to adjust settings

    Summary

All in all a unique program - allows active monitoring of multiple areas - something no other weather monitoring program does (unless you want to buy it) - and it's free!

    June 1, 2009  |   By patriciagibson07

    Version: Earth Alerts 2009.1.34

    Pros

Great product. Good configuration tools. Select as many places as you want to receive all type of weather alerts any where in the world. You decide how frequently you want to receive each type of alert. Very Good software. I am very pleased.

    Cons

Image of the day. I don't know if its my computer or the software.

    Summary

Its the best free software you will ever use, for accurate weather forecasts, from: Fires, volcanoes, earthquakes, Tsunami's, rain etc. This software captures everything.
