Version: ESET Smart Security 4.0.314
Pros: Does a decent job.Now this is a set and forget applivation.Very light on cpu.I used the trial version and loved it.
Cons: Well after the trial I decided to uninstall.Well, My uninstaller said it was gone.I checked and the full programme was still running.I couldnt delete it.I had to start in safe mode to disable it from services.What a pain it was.Its a shame though.
Summary: A good strong line of defence.Runs quietly in the background.Set and forget.

"I have never gotten a single virus on my system!"
Pros: I've used eset smart security for a year now, and yesterday when my licence ended, i uninstalled it and installed the new microsoft security esentials and ran a full scan with it, and it didn't find anything so i would really recomand this =P
Cons: Cons? i haven't found any.

"Fast, reliably, qualitatively, beautifully! Windows 7!"
Pros: Fast work, fast loading, excellent interaction with Windows 7, convenient firewall, clear options. Multifunctionality.
Cons: Does not scan mail in" The Bat".Little bit long scanning of the computer.

Pros: Scanning is fast, firewall is highly configurable but has many presets for novice to expert. Logging is strength too.
Cons: V3 had some flaws regarding VPN's, but V4 has fixed that. No cons!

"A good software to invest for!"
Pros: Lightning fast scanning is the characteristic of it. New virus scanner- they call it threat sense, provides good detection rate and range. Also do not forget it is very light on resources.
Cons: The major drawback is the firewall(Web Access Protection). It leaves major threats undetected.
Summary: Real time protection is good. It gives lesser false positives than others in market(I got only 2-3 in 30 days!). Very low on memory resources- u don't even notice it is there. Update is regular. The major putdown is the FIREWALL. It allows some threa... read more
