Pros: i removed kaspersky's and i still have 4 months left on the subscription. nod32 runs like an antivirus should. nothing needs to take total control of your computer like the major scam programs pushed off on here as legit. use the trial for nod32 or esets smart security. you'll never switch back. unless you liked your computer running at half speed.
Cons: not a con, but it runs so quietly in the back ground i have to check to see if it's running.

"It is a superior antivirus software!"
Pros: NOD32 Antivirus is the best you can get. No other software has received so many Virus Bulletins awards as NOD32 Antivirus.
Light on recourses and now with a nice interface.
The best security you can get!
Cons: Bad for the competitors!

"One hell of a great AntiVirus!"
Pros: If you are willing to buy it then this is the best antivirus out there. I have been using it for quite a while now and have had no problems with it. It has kept me satisfied for long enough now. It has a simple interface, it is divided into several services such as AMON (Real time antivirus), DMON (for documents), EMON (for emails), IMON (for internet) and finally NOD32 which is a on-demand scanner. If you dont want a service you can easily disable it, like i didnt want EMON because i dont use outlook so i just disabled it and thats that. Most Antiviruses dont offer such features. I am completely protected from trojans, worms, viruses and all of that kind of junk. Thanks to NOD32. Oh and I forgot one thing, it is the most stealth antivirus ever, hardly takes a second to load and uses the least systm resources, now thats awsome.
Cons: It for some reason has not gained much popularity like Norton, McAfee, ZoneAlarm etc. have gained. I wonder what must be the reason behind it. I have heard the support isnt so good but i have never needed their support untill now, it has been prolem free for me.

"This would be my third choice in an AV scanner."
Pros: Fast, light, effective and has won several awards. But with bias, I'm afraid. The updates are smooth and unobtrusive and system scans are fast. It has solid detection and removal capabilities on viruses, trojans, worms and some spyware. But I did find something new and very interesting at the home page of "Eset". It's an on line, free virus scanner and thats something I highly recommend. This on line scanner runs with "Vista" and "XP" and it's something worthy of 5 stars by itself. But, I have a couple issues with this application and one with download.com regarding this download..
Cons: My first is with download.com. This is a very old download. The new version is 2.7 and it's "Vista" compatible, so where is it? Don't believe everything you read about this application, especially at the "Eset" home page. To here "Eset" tell it, it's easily the best and no other anti virus application is worth using. I have yet to see this type of company bias towards their own products. Second and just as, if not more important, it's not user friendly. This is an application that many will find seriously confusing and difficult to use. It's definitely not something for the average home user.
