I asked a computer security expert friend of mine what to use. He aid without hesitation, ESET.
Why, because it catches things others do not, time after time.
If that is what you want in an AV, then this is what you want. -

In my test Nod32 was able to detect about 94.2% of all malware I trow at it..and with HIPS tweaked it detected about 95.8%
Very good but I expected higher detection rate as its the leader in VB100% award test!Cons
Well..if you go to http://go.eset.com/us/threat-center/threatsense-updates you will notis that Eset relese updates 2-3 times a day
with about 50-150 new defenitions in each update which in my opinion
is very low..Summary

i'm using NOD32 since version 2.5 on XP and that's about 7 years! In all that years i never had any virus! But i did had some spyware but thats logical because it's a AV

Summary
This antivirus is suited for consumers like me, and is the most effective antivirus I've used (followed by Norton, but a bit behind) Recommended for everyday use.
