"BEWARE: New chipped Cartridges fail to be recognised."
When it first went it was great, but then...
An abundance of seldom if ever used software bundled with the driver disk, that I have never had the need nor desire to use. My program list looks like half of my installed programs were all Epsom based. But wait, there's more... and this is the best/worst part. The new cartridges did not appear as new but empty, only the black was seen as a new cartridge when we brought replacements.
Not a printer I would ever buy again, even and ESPECIALLY if you are looking at a used one. Google is testament to yet another marketing ploy to suck more money out of the consumer by producing a vendor only refill product that fails to meet the most basic of functions... recognising that the new retail store brought (from a retailer dealing in Epsom products) ink cartridges ARE NOT RECOGNISED. The solution buy something else, its not worth the trouble and steer away from a manufacture that is more interested in your pockets than fixing a well known well documented bug in their product.I failed to mention that because the product (in this case the cartridges) are chipped (so that you cannot save money refilling them and are forced to buy their new cartridges) and the chip fails to work and sees another empty cartridge after the first one has been used, it literally turns into a black, or greyscale only printer. Yay, lets all buy one of these. Hmm, no.
Far too much useless bundled software for my liking, I think basic functions like printing and scanning should be simple without having to install 5 to 6 optional programs. Yes I did have a choice, and after I saw the plethora of software I un-installed most of it, but boy did it take a long time. Longer in fact to remove it than install it the first time.
