"Perfect for movie hounds everywhere"
Pros
Keeps track of your movie library, movies you want to see and movies you want to get.
Cons
Movies must be entered one at a time.
Summary
Oh, if you are a movie buff this is the software for you. Runs great on a Windows 7 machine and off a USB stick. You can keep track of all of the movies you have purchased (and their location -- a very handy feature), movies you have lent to friends, movies you have rented, and movies you want to see. Provides for both your own recommendation and IMDB recommendations. Easily imports IMDB movie information with a DVD cover image, cast and plot summary ( very nifty feature), duration, color or black and white, television or 3D. A an extensive genre checklist is provided so you can search your library by genre if desired. This checklist is automatically updated when you import IMDB information. A comment box is provided for you to add your own comments or notes about the movies. Additionally, the plot summary box can be edited if you want to provide additional plot commentary.
For real tech heads, there are options to list the medium (DVD, BlueRay, etc.), movie aspect ratio, special features (including subtitle languages), aspect ratio, and region (for different DVD geographic region formats).
The search database is set up so that once you have entered your movies you can easily search by title, cast, genre, director, year (or a year range), etc. Very easy to navigate and swift depending upon the size of your collection. I love this program and think you will like it too if you like movies like me.
This is a great tool for movie buffs regardless if they have a movie collection or just like watching movies. The only feature I would like to see added is some way to import a personal collection of movies either through Excel or ODBC compliant software. That would make it so much easier for people with large collections to quickly put list their movies in this terrific program.
