My computer downstairs keeps losing a connection to the internet. So when I am not around I used this software on one of my other computer to ping that computer downstairs as well as the internet.

None, it is a free program.

For the above reason, it is a very good application for troubleshooting connection issues.

It's customizable - I can tune every option. And it's FREE!
Cons
It will be good if it can monitor multiple hosts at once, but Freeware is a Freeware, so I don't expect that it will be a tool for large enterprises.
