extemely quick to scan after updating....works very well on finding and removing the very bad malware that others miss

Not all malware is found except for very bad ones... The definition updates take a while to install especially if haven't been done in awhile,then It can seem to take forever.
Summary
I have found Emco to find and remove very bad viruses that other programs won't because they are already overtaken by the virus.I use it along with a few others like malwarebytes,adaware,and A-squared (my 4 trusted) because they all do miss some of the pests.I have cleaned a lot of almost unusable machines using Emco Malware Destroyer as the first anti-virus to install and run because it is so quick to scan and works so well to find and remove.I then update it and scan again before installing and running others like my faithfull 4.I find too,that no matter which one's you use,they all miss something

This product scans for oddities no other vendor looks for [including ESET, Spybot, SpywareBlaster etc.] It found and scrubbed a stubborn keystroke logger that no other protection even notified me was there. It rarely has to find I'm happy to say.
Cons
To me, and I'm technical, the interface is not intuitive. If you navigate thru it a few times, you will learn how to use it. Beware of Remove vs. Delete. Remove destroys the virus, Delete just removes the entry from the log!
Summary
I give it a 5 of 5 for functionality; it has rescued me when I feared I would have to scrub registry by hand. I give it 3 of 5 for usability or friendliness. Nonetheless download it and keep it updated! I scan with it 2-3 times a week, it runs in 60 sec.

the scan is way too fast to be effective and once it identifies a threat the removal process is terrible. i scanned multiple times and it could not delete the trojan (i think i had vundo or something). crap product.

highjacks your browser in order to take you to their homepage. Useless as spyware detector, actually, does not find anything at all.

The scan is extremely fast. Very useful as a backup antispyware. It says that it has only 10,000 spyware in it's database, but in fact there is actually about 100,000.
Cons
No real-time, not many updates and no heuristics. This is why I recommend it as a backup.
