Version: E-Zsoft YouTube Downloader 3.0.19
"The 'trial' version is a trick!"
Pros: None
Cons: Upon initial running of the install file (YouTubeDownloader.exe) a License Agreement window appears. Nothing in that window that I read indicates a 3-day trial limit. You are not told this until the software is installed and you 1st run it.
On 1st run, a window popup which says:
STD version has a limitation on the download video size at 10M
STD version only has 3 days trial period.
Two soft buttons at the bottom. One on the right to 'Purchase Pro Now!' presumably takes you to their website to purchase it (I didn't try it), the other is 'Remind Me Later'. Click that to get rid of the popup and go to the main downloader window ie the 'E-Zsoft Youtube Downloader' window.
When accessing a video on YouTube, a little icon appears on top left to download it by using the E-Zsoft program. If click on that, the 'Add Youtube Download'window pops up.
In the window that pops up, one can observe the download URL, the 'Save to' location, can use the default file name or uncheck this to rename file, the file split number - from 1 to 10.
!!Here's the kicker!!:
As soon as press OK to download the YouTube vid, the program opens to an annoying (and non-expandable) window to try to flog their Pro version. If decide NOT to purchase and close the Shopping Cart window, as soon as click the [X] close button, the download is given as Fail in the E-Zsoft downloader window.
Just SCAM!! software
Note also - the 'free trial'period if you really want to suffer all this is NOT 7 days as shown on the C|net download page but 3 days!
Other annoyances:
From their 'Downloader' window, on the menubar:
click 'support' > 'help' or 'support', redirects to their URL.
They DO NOT TELL YOU about the annoying popup window which comes up or that if you don't agree to buy their product, a FAIL appears in the download window. A bit DECEPTIVE really!
They effectively hijack your internet browser to get you to their website.
Just SCAM!! software setup as a backdoor redirector to their website to buy their PRO product.

Pros: I was skeptical, but it works and it's easy to use. You just need to remember to convert it once downloaded...then you can view it through the Media Player on your computer.
AWESOME!!! Thanks for making it available.Cons: The only hassle is that you have to convert it to view it...but really that's not a biggie cos it's all included in the downloader..
