This is a funny little piece of software from some website that's out of Italy. It will slow down your system and cause some funny behavior. Once it is installed it is hard to get rid of. On Windows it will not appear in your list of installed programs. No, you have to click on your Start Menu and go into Local Disk (C:). Then open the Program Files Folder. Somewhere at the bottom of the list you will see a folder named "YouTube Downloader". There will be two items in it: the YouTube Downloader itself and an Activex Controller that comes with it that will be labelled with a bunch of capitol letters. Delete them both. On each one left click on it and then click delete. The recycling window will come up and a few seconds later you will get a UAC Prompt. Of course you click "Yes". Do that for both then delete the empty folder. That's how you get rid of the damn thing! I don't think that it works very well. If you want to download and convert YouTube videos then just get RealPlayer. It works great, it does not mess with your system and it is also free. In addition it also works for music and other stuff and downloads and converts videos from almost any website, not just YouTube. You can download it for free at the Google Pack website www.pack.google.com. This YouTube Downloader is bad, problematic software and seems to me to also be obsolete. Whether you want to get RealPlayer or not you should avoid this YouTube Downloader!

It would be nice if it could take away "evaluation copy" from the final product.

Example. A friend of mine is learning to line dance and wanted me to make a dvd so that she could practice in front of tv. Evaluation Copy is printed on every single video I downloaded and burned to the dvd. -

This is a very lightweight app that downloads and converts YouTube videos and nothing more. It's anything but bloatware. I recommend it if you don't need the features more powerful downloaders like VDownloader have to offer.
